NYC wheat paste murals exude grittiness and reverence of the past. The Robot Company recently acquired some new office space, which they wanted to turn into a podcast studio. Later, they decided to contact us and see what our wallpaper mural artists can do.
We used the wheat pasting process used by commercial bill posters, activists, and various subculture proponents since the nineteenth century. In the 1990’s, this billing technique became popular among NYC street artists. Because these artists sought low cost alternatives, spreading poster work throughout the city became easier when wheat past became accessible.
Raw, yet polished, our office wheat paste installation was exactly what the space needed. There is nothing quite like a collage of black & white wheat-paste posters to capture the past. Thanks to our collaboration, this Tribeca work space now has the NYC vibe it so rightfully deserves.
Be sure to also check out some of our other NYC wheat paste murals. They include BlackStone Hotel, Gatsby’s and other Residential installations. We came back to this company for other wheat paste installations, as well. Please feel free to look at the installation of some pop art wallpaper in their bathroom.
