Thrillist Feature Mural Commission. Thrillist commissioned one of our artists, “Gorey” for a few original pieces in their SoHo, New York office. Gorey freestyled a lot of the walls using his unique can control technique of thin lines in spray paint. On the main wall, he referenced the existing Thrillist logo and added his own spin to it. On the other two walls, he painted a knot of a cityscape from somewhere in his crazed imagination. Gorey painted all of this without a sketch, out of thin air. The Crosby Press and Jack Threads also operate out of this same office space, so they get to enjoy the murals as well! The job was fun and relaxing, also an example of the amazing artwork that can be created when we trust a feature artist to go with their instincts.
