Street Artists Agency
The Houston office of Global architecture firm Gensler came to the highest regarded street art agency, Graffiti Arts. The project was to paint a series of canvases to create a large mural. The mural would be installed for elevator company TKE’s new ATL HQ.
The location serves as the new offices and elevator testing and development site for TKE. Employees moved to ATL from all over the country and world to work in this facility. Naturally, Gensler wanted to represent different elements of Atlanta culture via art in different spaces on various floors. Our creative team and Atlanta based artist brainstormed a few recognizable icons. Along with Atlanta touchstones for the layout and stayed pretty true to TKE’s branded palette. Unlike other street artists agency our team has a creative understanding. Especially because we come from graffiti and street art roots.
Firstly our artist painted the canvases in studio. Secondly, using z clips the plywood panels install onto the walls. Lastly, the panels get fasteners on them. Now canvases have the ability to be taken down when they need to be sold or donated. And of course, new art can come in to replace. In the meantime, the canvases live in the break room area for everyone to enjoy.
