Metro NY Newspaper

Graffiti canvas created for an office space in New York City.  Metro (the world’s largest global newspaper) asked us to commission a NYC-centric piece for an event. Virgin founder Richard Branson was their guest editor.  As a result, the client wanted to welcome him to NYC with some unique office decor.

Firstly, we decided on filling the space with multiple smaller canvases to make up a larger piece as  a triptych.  Secondly, we designed a NYC postcard with their logo and NYC skylines incorporated into the letters.  Thirdly, we painted the artwork off site using spray paint to give it that NY edge.  Finally, we delivered the pieces to their office.  The client was very happy with the work!

Here’s an image of the triptych that we painted for them.

Graffiti Canvas for Metro NY Offices

We typically used spray paint on canvases when they are larger than 3×4.  However, smaller canvases can still be painted with a mix of spray paint and brush.  We find that spray paint brings in a dynamic element from the streets indoors.  As a result, this is a very unique aesthetic that is kept clean for professional environments.
