Our Graffiti Agency has gone retro for a new mural in Boston. Silversmith Capital Partners is a growth equity firm based in Boston, Mass. While providing capital isn’t unique, how Silversmith does so is. Therefore we create a multi-media mural that depicts an 80’s lower east side NYC scene. We installed the mural in their main conference room. Uniquely it served as the finishing touch to a space full of contemporary street-art. As a result, the custom project was simply fun.
First, we started by using the guerilla marketing wheatpaste process to place poster bills. Next, we created multiple layers and textures combining the wheatpaste posters with graffiti textures. Likewise, we selected retro posters and stickers from the era and painted graffiti styles from that time.
You can see the sketch that serves as a guide for our artists when painting. In fact, this guide serves as the compass for our graffiti agency as we begin our process. This is also part of the approval process between us and Silversmith. This helps give clients an idea of what they can expect when the mural is created. However, the guide cannot do the finished mural justice. You have to see a graffiti mural like this to really appreciate it.
