Large-Scale Mural Art in the Bronx for Formerly named Metropolitan Lighthouse Charter School. Now renamed Nuasin as a homage to the area’s Native American past. We have done projects with this school previously: Bronx Indoor Mural and NY School Graffiti Street Art Murals when the school was Metropolitan Lighthouse Charter. When the school was renamed, we were asked to return to help paint the newly rebranded school!

Happily, our artist put a spin on the school’s new design motif and key lock up inspired by the Bronx Highbridge. Murals were painted throughout the whole school: stairways, hallways, gym, lunchroom, as well as a large-scale 6-story facade mural! These murals reflect the vibrant colorful patterns shown on their website to help tie their new generation theme together.

To start off, the artist painted the main office where our artist designed this mural with the Brooklyn Highbridge above the desks!

In the gym, our artist carefully crafted their mascot geometrically with their school colors. After adding their mascot, the artist included a quote from the late basketball legend, Kobe Bryant.

Here in the lunchroom, the artist captured the school’s past and location, New York, incorporating different colors, shapes, and items.

In all of the school’s hallways, we creatively used colors and geometrically designed shapes to stand out. Therefore, we included two key elements to inspire the children every time they walkthrough. Firstly, including the images of significant role models element to motivate students.

Secondly, the element of including the inspirational quotes encouraging students to push through that hard test or assignment.

Finally, the last mural created was a large-scale 6-story facade mural. This beautiful large-scale mural art was designed applying the colorful patterns from the inside of the school to the outside, in the front of the school.
