Training room mural painted for Walmart’s e-commerce facility. The Graffiti Arts team designed a mural for the new training room in Atlanta, GA. Particularly focused on the group nickname “ATL1” and key Walmart specific design assets.

Firstly, what makes this mural particulary special is integrating artwork designed by employees. The lion mascot that stands bold and proud was created by an ATL1 member! In addition, the mural pays homage to Walmart founder Sam Walton. Unlike most portraits one may find of Sam, we gave him a more modern street art twist. All these elements interacted with a transparency filter. Simpler put, the colors change throughout the mural. We felt it gave the artwork some depth that reflects the diversity within the facility.

Final touches for the training room mural includes the Walmart star. You’ll find it creeping along as a background pattern along with various textures. Some building bricks, paint splatters, and multiple faux distress techniques. Besides really enjoying painting this we felt especially gratified by everyone’s reaction to the mural!

Clearly popping with this green! From time to time we need to coat certain areas multiple times. Clearly paying off at the end.
