Temporary graffiti for a tech conference event in NYC. We worked with Google and R/GA on some custom graffiti artwork for their NY Big Tent 2012 Event. Our goal was to decorate the bland walls of a freight elevator. Everyone had to take the elevator to get to the rooftop.  As a result, we painted two series of stage flats with the word “NEW” and “YORK” across each.  We installed the canvases directly across from each other in the elevator. We thank Google & the agency for inviting us to be a part of this important event. You can see a video further down below that includes clips of some of the speakers of the event.

Temporary Graffiti for Event in Elevator Space

We painted the temporary graffiti artwork off site in our studio space.  Firstly,we built framed out temporary wall flats in 4×8 pieces.  Secondly, we designed two different color schemes for each word.  In addition, we incrporated a skyline into the tops of the letters for the urban feel.  Thirdly, we painted the pieces assembled together.  Finally, we delivered to the client and installed them in the elevator space.
