NY Knicks basketball court mural for Ethan and Nathan in New Jersey

Basketball court mural art

Basketball court mural art. Recently completed mural for residential client in NJ. Without a doubt floor murals are among the most challenging. Not only is it difficult to scale artwork onto the ground but we also have to be creative in executing the the painting in unorthodox positions. That said, we’re always up for the task!

We had to be strategic in designing the basketball court mural art. First, we had to create a design that included the NY Knicks logo and the names of the clients sons. Second, we had to consider the basketball “paint” where the mural would be painted. Thirdly, we had to design the artwork in a matter that fit within the client’s budget. We used a primary color pallet to compliment the NY Knicks logo. In addition to this we chose to use color graphically. We felt this would result in a bold and punchy result. Rather than using many gradients.

After the basketball court mural art was completed we made sure to test it out with a pick up game. We won’t say who won but our artist Casey has a mean jumper! ;)

In addition to using high quality paints, we also need to mix sand. The sand helps create grip to the floor surface.
