Bank of America Mural | Bowery Street Art Project with Vizie

80 Feet of Wall Across from the Bowery

Not every wall carries the same weight. The north-facing facade on Houston Street in downtown New York City is one of the more active surfaces in the city. Placing an 80-foot mural directly across from the Bowery Art Wall meant this project had to be something worth putting there. Bank of America partnered with artist Vizie and us on a large-scale mural for a new downtown location, sitting at the center of one of NYC’s most concentrated corridors of public art.

A Wall the Culture Already Claimed

The north-facing side of this building has been active with graffiti and street art for years. The culture has already chosen this surface. Bank of America recognized that and made a decision most corporations don’t: they leaned into it. Rather than treating the wall as something to clean up and rebrand, they invested in art that belongs in this neighborhood. That kind of commitment is rare, and it produces work worth looking at long-term.

The Design

Vizie’s mural pulls from the Bank of America color palette while building a conversation with the visual history of the street. The piece references the DKNY gridded install further down on Houston, a nod to the visual dialogue these walls have had over time. The composition works at two scales: up close, it holds real surface quality and detail. From across Houston, it reads as a fully bright, colorful statement. Both viewing experiences are intentional. This piece was built for the block, not just for a social post.

We partnered on the full execution from design through the final coat. Concept development happened in mid-2025, and painting was completed in the fall. Working at 80 feet on a high-visibility downtown wall means zero room for shortcuts. Bank of America put real art on a real wall in one of the most art-active corridors in New York City, and Houston Street is better for it.
