The Relentless Pursuit Canvas for Formula 1 Las Vegas

Formula 1 in Las Vegas runs fast and hits loud. Every brand showing up in that environment needs to match that energy or disappear into the background. Mastercard commissioned a canvas mural for their F1 activation through McCann, and we built something that could hold its own in one of the most visually charged events in sports. The piece centers on Mastercard’s two sponsored drivers: Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Building Around the Eyes

The design is focused on the drivers’ eyes. Eyes carry intent and focus. The message Mastercard wanted to communicate, “Relentless Pursuit,” lives in that look, and we built the entire visual composition around making you feel it before you read it. The two faces are the entry point. Once you’re in, the color palette and messaging do the rest. Mastercard’s signature red and yellow don’t sit in the background here. They structure the piece at the design level, making brand recognition feel built-in rather than added on top.

Earning Attention in a Loud Room

Las Vegas Grand Prix events are sensory overload. Screens, lighting rigs, sponsor signage, and crowds moving in every direction. A canvas mural in that context has to earn attention rather than just compete for it. The tight composition of the two drivers’ faces creates a natural entry point from a distance. Up close, the detail holds. The result serves two purposes: a brand activation moment and a genuine tribute to the drivers that gives the piece a reason to exist beyond the logo.

Sponsorship alone doesn’t build credibility at a race weekend. What builds it is showing up with something real. Canvas work at live events proves physical art still cuts through. Mastercard stood behind speed and precision, and they asked us to make that visible. We did exactly that.
