Genius – Picasso Interactive Mural for National Geographic

A LA coloring mural for an upscale event in Pasadena, CA.  We partnered with Asher Entertainment to provide an interactive mural piece on canvas.  National Geographic was looking to promote their Genius series featuring Pablo Picasso.  As a result, an interactive coloring mural was the perfect idea!

Firstly, the activation took place at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena.  Secondly, this Television Critics Association press tour had many stars in attendance including Queen Latifah, Naomi Campbell, Zooey Deschanel and Diddy! Thirdly, we had the perfect idea to entertain the guests with a coloring mural event. We provided all of the supplies necessary for the guests to help paint.

Prior to the event, we setup a freestanding 5×10 canvas with some custom artwork already outlined in black. In addition, our design was inspired by some of Picasso’s abstract works. Our artist helped guests pick colors and guide them as they painted throughout the evening.  Check out our LA coloring mural below.

The photo above shows the outlined Picasso inspired mural before guests arrived.  We were sure to protect the floor under the mural.  If you look to the left of the canvas, you can see some of the supplies setup for the LA Coloring mural.
