Street Art Collaboration

Champion  is one of the most recognized sportswear brands in the world. They reached out to us to curate a street art capsule. The capsule was a curation with multiple recognized street artists. With each artist focused on a fresh perspective to the brand.

The capsule consisted of four prominent street artists:  Merlot, It’s A Living, Steffi Lynn and Adam Fu. Each distinctly recognized by their unique signature style. Collage work is a signature style of Merlot’s. Along with her graphic typography. Artist It’s A Living, known for his vibrant typographic pieces. Steffi Lynn recognized for her whimsical type and icon treatment. And lastly, Adam Fu, for his electrifying neon designs. Importantly, each of the designs and the artists styles are unique. Also, the artists work fits the brand’s aesthetic. Each artist chosen with this in mind. Thus, this led to a successful collaboration. In addition to the apparel designs, there were several events to promote the capsule. Adam Fu painted a mural in a NYC Champion store with a bank vault!

Artist Capsule Trends

The street art collaboration between Champion and the  artists is a perfect example of the growing trend of fashion brands collaborating with artists. The inclusion of street art in fashion is not a new concept. Many fashion brands have collaborated with street artists in the past, including Adidas, Nike, and Converse. However, Champion’s collaboration with Merlot, It’s A Living, and Steffi Lynn is particularly exciting because it showcases the versatility and adaptability of street art.

Manny associate murals and graffiti as street art. But this collaboration demonstrates that street art can be adapted to a variety of mediums, including clothing. The unique designs created by these artists will allow Champion to stand out in a crowded market and appeal to a wider audience.

Champion’s partnership with Merlot, It’s A Living, and Steffi Lynn is a testament to the growing trend of fashion brands collaborating with street artists. It is exciting to see the versatility and adaptability of street art being showcased in this way. And we look forward to seeing more collaborations between fashion brands and street artists in the future.
