Orange County mural artist paints a custom graffiti wall for the newly opened Rollin Deep Ice Cream shop in Costa Mesa. Since the client had roots in New York City, they wanted to incorporate some of the gritty New York street art aesthetic. In addition, they wanted to tell the story of their transition from the East to West Coast. It was the perfect job for us since we have some deep ties to the NYC graffiti culture and now based in Los Angeles! For the creative concept, the client wanted elements of NYC such as subways, Brooklyn Bridge and the skyline. Furthermore, they wanted to mix in landmarks and imagery of Los Angeles. For instance, the Santa Monica pier, Hollywood Sign, Palm Trees, Freeways, etcc.
If you are in Orange County, drop by and try out their hand rolled ice cream and check out the artwork in person. Rollin Deep Ice Cream is located at: 891 Baker St., Suite B-19, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
We are always a fan of incorporating some of New York City graffiti roots when in other cities. For example, we included a subway train, the Brooklyn Bridge and a tribute to the twin towers.
For the Los Angeles elements, we added in the Santa Monica pier, Hollywood sign, freeways and palm trees. Our Orange County mural artist did not disappoint and made our client very happy.
We appreciated the delicious ice cream that we got to sample after painting the mural. The hand rolled ice cream is highly recommended if you get a chance to stop by!
