A Coloring Book Mural for BD at ASHP Midyear

Looking back to last December, BD wanted a booth people actually played with. We answered with a coloring book mural that attendees finished by hand. Over three days, the crowd colored alongside our artist in New Orleans. The booth became a hands-on art project on the show floor.

We worked with Live Marketing, a live events agency hired by BD. BD is one of the largest medical technology companies anywhere. Their theme, Care no matter where, called for something warm and open. A coloring book mural fit the bright, craft-style look they wanted.

Designed for Hands-On Play

We drew the mural with preset colors and tighter lines than usual. That gave guests clear shapes to fill without losing the painterly feel. The serial, outline style gave the canvases a look all their own. People stopped, picked up a marker, and stayed a while.

Three Days, Three Canvases

Attendees colored three stretched canvases, each three by six feet. The art grew busier and brighter as the show went on. That steady progress pulled new faces to the booth each day. By the end, BD had a finished piece the whole crowd helped make.

BD got real engagement and a family-friendly booth that matched its message. Interactive art keeps people at your booth longer than any flyer. We would bring this kind of hands-on piece back for BD again.
