Artwork for TV Series on Canvas for a NOLA event. We recently collaborated in New Orleans with the globally known visual artist Brandan “Bmike” Odums. Working closely with the Starz team, we helped curate a series of spray painted canvases. Futhermore, the canvases were displayed at an event to promote upcoming seasons of multiple shows on Starz.
The goal was to create excitement for the new series “America to Me”, “Warriors of Liberty City”. Also, to create buzz around the newest season of “Power”. It was clear from the start that Bmike was the perfect artist for the project. His ability to create powerful work from stories of struggle and perseverance. All while painting beautiful masterpieces. The artwork for TV he created combined spray paint textures, text, icons and portraits.
Bmike applied his signature style to each painting. Bmike created original works that captured energy and themes of each show. Inspired by the theme “Know Your Power”. He was also able to hit on the broader mission of Starz as a champion of difference. In addition, we provided an added bonus of a similar themed piece for the show “Vida” created after this event.
The results were clear. The paintings transformed the space, encouraged relevant dialogue and promoted the Know Your Power messaging for all influencers and attendees of the event.
