We were happy to be back to work with Shea Moisture again at the New York City BeautyCon recently held at Pier36 in October of 2015. We recently created some live artwork with Shea Moisture for BeautyCon LA, Chicago Pop-up, and Blogher NYC. We had the talented Seb Gorey back again for this event who did an amazing job as usual! Check out some photos of the artwork below:
“Four-star tight end Naseir Upshur hails from North Philadelphia, a place built on toughness. The 6’2″, 233-pound prospect embodies his roots on the football field, as he is one of the most physical tight ends in the country. Upshur and Bleacher Report teamed up exclusively to announce his college commitment using graffiti artwork. Where will he play his college ball? Watch the video, and find out.”
We worked with Shea Moisture again this time in Chicago for a pop-up event that they were doing. Check out our recent live graffiti projects with them in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA. In Chicago, the talented Amuse126 created an amazing 8×8 ft. piece in his unique style incorporating elements of Chicago into the piece. Check out some photographs of the work progress below:
We are excited to announce that we now have a talented Rapid City, South Dakota based graffiti artist available for mural commissions! The artist, Aaron is very talented in using aerosol spray paint to create photorealistic works on a large scale. He is also great with the airbrush for smaller scale gigs and live events as well. Below is a project that he did in collaboration with Destination Rapid City. The piece is about 25 ft x 45 ft. and titled “Badlands.”
“This project was the largest I’ve been a part of to date. It is in the heart of down town Rapid City, SD. It is right across the street from The Sculpture Project which is titled ‘The Passage of Wind and Water’. The mural was to tie into The Sculpture Project, but not distract from it. Through rainy days and 40mph winds, the project was completed in a little over 135 hours.”
After working with the folks at GovBallNYC earlier this summer and last year, we were honored to be asked to paint the entrance sign for the FarmBorough Country Music Festival on Randall’s Island. This is NYC’s brand new country music festival. For the design, we took the original logo and added our spin to it. This was a massive sign almost 40 feet long and it was an amazing project. Check out some photographs of the completed sign below along with some photos we found on Instagram.
Two of our talented LA based graffiti artists created this 8×20 ft mural during this year’s #BeautyConLA event held at The Reef in downtown Los Angeles. BeautyCon is the world’s premiere fashion, beauty, wellbeing & lifestyle destination for fans, brands, and content creators. (http://beautycon.com/la) The mural was painted in collaboration with Shea Moisture at their booth who was bold enough to work with graffiti artists in creating this piece. The live graffiti artwork turned heads and it certainly got a lot of attention that day and we look forward to working with them again at the NY BlogHer event later this week! Check out some photos of the LA installation below:
There is a new late night talk show called White Guy Talk Show that recently started airing on Fuse TV. A few months ago, Graffiti USA helped create and paint a custom New York City style backdrop for their set. Check out some photos of the installation below along with a clip from the show!
Recently, we worked with YouTube & Google BrandLabs on their new YouTube Space NY launch event. The space acts “as a hybrid production facility and classroom where brand marketers are invited to up their digital savvy while YouTube’s creator partners leverage the studio’s resources and acumen.”
With a whopping one billion unique users visiting YouTube every month to consume about six billion hours of video, it’s a smart move for the world’s second most valuable brand to set up shop near Madison Avenue. YouTube’s studios in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo have drawn over 30,000 creators to more than 450 workshops resulting in 6,000 videos viewed for 47 million hours. With BrandLab, it’s hoping to spread the gospel with those in control of marketing budgets, too. (http://www.brandchannel.com/home/post/141013-Google-BrandLab.aspx)
Earlier in the year, we worked with Puma and Rain on a commercial celebrating the anniversary of the Puma Suede sneaker. Check out the video below. It’s a really quick clip at the (0:34 mark) but you can see the graffiti collage we painted for this project!
“Revolutionary. Classic. Timeless. PUMA SUEDE has been down since forever. Back in 1968, the city scene was packed with hot chicks in hot pants and tall boys in basketball shorts. That was when PUMA first came on the scene with the Suede silhouette. The industry rebel that said “nay” to ordinary leather, the Suede was a warm-up shoe made infamous by athletic greats such as basketball’s Walt “Clyde” Frazier and the track’s Tommie Smith. It hit new levels of fame during the ’80s dawn of b-boys and hip hop beats, taking over New York City blocks. And to this day, it remains PUMA’s most epic icon of sport-inspired style with its smooth suede and streetwise swagger.”
